Utah High Scool for the Arts

Utah High School for the ARTS Winter/Spring Registration is Open

The Utah High School for the ARTS, a private, full time, high school now located at the Hurricane, UT, is now holding registration for the coming semester.

Known as “ARTS High”, Utah’s oldest high school for the arts is one that focuses on the desires and talents of each individual student; the program is based in freedom, creativity and flexibility. Students, under the mantel of staff and mentors, build a curriculum around themselves that will help each individual obtain their educational goals and objectives.

Classes and workshops include all aspects of arts from visual to dance, film, acting, music, and beyond. Academics range from English & math to languages, sciences, anthropology, history and more. Students must produce quality projects, as well as community service, and go before a Board of Professionals and Educators to graduate.

Utah High School for the ARTS graduates go on to first rate colleges and universities, enroll in specialized arts programs, accept jobs in various artistic fields and start their own businesses. Many are top filmmakers and musicians, as well as computer specialists and history professors.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in areas such as theater, vocal and music groups, film festivals and art shows; participating students will attend many outstanding events, such as the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival held yearly at the University of Idaho.

Enrollment is open to ages 12 and up; younger students will be decided on an individual basis.
